چکیده

Microbial lipase is one of the major sources enzyme that has been broadly exploited in food, detergent, and pharmaceutical industries due to its high catalytic activity, yield, environmental friendliness cost-effectiveness. Therefore, aim this study was optimize medium for submerged fermentation production by a novel strain, Bacillus salmalaya strain 139SI. The media subjected Luria Bertani (LB) with different carbon surfactants supplemented determine which would give highest activity salmalaya. Lipase supernatant containing ddetermined using titrimetric method hydrolysis reaction. Results showed olive oil used as source, induced (11.0 U/mL) compared sunflower (9.6 cooking waste (7.8 U/mL). For surfactants, LB tween 80 enhanced higher (6.8 20 (6.0 sodium dodecyl sulphate (SDS) (2.0 Thus, it can be concluded allows optimization culture whereby, among sources, production, whereas Tween best inducer other surfactants.

Biosorption Potential of Bacillus salmalaya Strain 139SI for Removal of Cr(VI) from Aqueous Solution

The present study investigated the biosorption capacity of live and dead cells of a novel Bacillus strain for chromium. The optimum biosorption condition was evaluated in various analytical parameters, including initial concentration of chromium, pH, and contact time. The Langmuir isotherm model showed an enhanced fit to the equilibrium data. Live and dead biomasses followed the monolayer bioso...

Biotechnological Potential of Bacillus salmalaya 139SI: A Novel Strain for Remediating Water Polluted with Crude Oil Waste

Environmental contamination by petroleum hydrocarbons, mainly crude oil waste from refineries, is becoming prevalent worldwide. This study investigates the bioremediation of water contaminated with crude oil waste. Bacillus salamalaya 139SI, a bacterium isolated from a private farm soil in the Kuala Selangor in Malaysia, was found to be a potential degrader of crude oil waste. When a microbial ...

Biomass production from Bacillus sp. RAB9 using several carbon sources

Background The NYD medium (glucose, meat extract, yeast extract and peptone) is used for biomass production of some bacteria species that promote plant species growth [1-3]. The main carbon source present in this medium is the glucose that contributes a percentage of 25% to the medium price. An alternative to obtain a more accessible price for the medium is to replace the glucose by sources of ...
